How do we end our agreement?
Cancel individual subscriptions with 30 days' notice, or end the whole agreement. Either way there's no buyout and nothing to settle.
You don't have to end the whole agreement to reduce what you're paying for. It's worth knowing which of the two you actually need.
Ending individual subscriptions
Any subscription can be cancelled with 30 days' notice, at any time, with no minimum term and no penalty. Email business@swapfiets.com and tell us who it's for and when.
That's what you'd do when someone leaves the company or no longer wants a bike. Your employees can also cancel their own subscriptions directly, with the same 30 days' notice.
You're only billed up to the day a subscription ends, so if it finishes partway through a month you pay for those days only.
Ending your whole agreement
Email business@swapfiets.com and we'll walk you through it. When the agreement ends, the subscriptions running under it end with it, so you don't need to cancel them one by one.
What happens to bikes still out with your employees
Whichever way it goes, the subscription runs for the full 30 days' notice. What differs is what happens at the end of it.
If they hand the bike back, they can do that any time during the notice period. We'll arrange a time with them directly. The subscription still ends when the 30 days are up, and it comes off your invoice from that date.
If they keep the bike, their subscription moves into their own name on the payment details they gave us when they signed up. Same bike, and it stops appearing on your invoice. We let them know when it happens, and they can cancel it themselves whenever they want.
That second one is also what happens by default. If we don't hear anything and the bike isn't returned within the notice period, it converts to a personal subscription automatically, so nothing is left outstanding with you.
What it costs to leave
Nothing. No buyout price, no residual value to settle, and no exit fee. You pay for the subscriptions up to the day they end, and that's it.
That's the main practical difference from a lease scheme, where ending early usually means taking over the bikes or buying them out.
If something isn't working
Worth a conversation before you decide. If the issue is the take-up or how the scheme is set up, we can often adjust it rather than ending it. Email business@swapfiets.com or speak to your account manager.
